Job summary

Waupaca County Solid Waste and Recycling Department is seeking a hands-on operator to receive and process waste, recyclables, and materials at the facility. You will maintain the receiving area, monitor equipment, and assist with building and grounds tasks while engaging with the public to ensure compliance.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least two years of heavy equipment maintenance experience, with knowledge of local waste regulations preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in heavy equipment and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Wisconsin solid waste and recycling issues preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process all solid waste at the facility.
• Maintain receiving area to ensure proper material flow.
• Inspect and perform daily maintenance on mobile equipment and compactors.
