Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Material Handler to support production and pack-on-demand lines, assembling trays and lids, feeding tapers, palletizing, and preparing orders for expedited processing.

You will read SKU numbers, sort product by size, maintain a steady flow, and adhere to SQF guidelines while keeping attendance reliable.

The role requires lifting up to 30 lbs, exposure to temperatures from -10°F to 40°F, and willingness to overtime, weekends, and cross-training as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow written instructions and labels.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate product sorting and handling.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. frequently.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures ranging from -10°F to 40°F.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a positive team-oriented attitude.
• Able to work assigned shift hours, including overtime or weekends if required.
• Willingness to cross-train and assist in other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets according to storage specifications, ensuring pallet pattern meets all requirements.
• Ensure quality assurance and vendor compliance specifications are met.
• Physically stack and unstack pallets.
• Support the shipping line by maintaining a constant flow of product or removal.
• Read SKU numbers and sort product by size/ SKU of box to prepare for loading.
• Perform other duties and work in other departments as assigned.
• Adhere to all SQF guidelines.
• Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance.
