Job summary

Allegion is hiring a Material Handler to support production scheduling by receiving, staging, issuing, and delivering materials. You will operate pallet jacks, load/unload shipments, and enter transactions into ERP/MRP systems while maintaining accurate inventory records.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer literacy, and familiarity with material handling. Flexibility for overtime and cross-training is expected in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with material handling and material movement.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to use proper lifting techniques and material movement equipment.
• Ability to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stage, issue, and deliver materials within the facility to support production schedules and customer orders.
• Safely operate pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
• Enter inventory transactions into ERP/MRP systems or scanning devices.
• Perform cycle counts and report discrepancies to supervisors.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies and maintain inventory documentation.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and store tools properly.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Be flexible to work overtime, cross-train, and adapt to new processes or technologies.
