Job summary

Life Fitness in Minnesota (Ramsey) is seeking a Material Handler in the Assembly Department to transport supplies, parts and products in a safe, efficient manner while maintaining accurate inventory and documentation. You will operate a forklift, support operators, and ensure timely set-ups to minimize downtime and improve throughput.

JOB PURPOSE:Material Handler Assembly DepartmentTransport supplies, parts and product as required in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining accurate inventory counts and documentation.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Coordinate with Supervisor/Lead to ensure timely set-ups in order to avoid or minimize down-time.Organize, store, and transport parts and supplies as needed and complete all corresponding paperwork. (Routers, tags with proper part numbers, etc.)Maintain accurate inventory. Report shortages/overages and supply needs to SupervisorOperate forkliftComplete all transactions within Oracle accurately and in a timely mannerAssist Operators in delivering parts in order to maximize department efficiencyRemove and distribute empty pallets and baskets as neededPlace parts in proper location and clearly write on routerNON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Perform other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:Ability to operate a forklift and be forklift certified. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan, which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics.
