Materials Handler I (Day Shift, B Shift)

Description

Position Summary: Perform work in compliance with all cGMP, ISO, and FDA regulations, as well as company policies and safety guidelines. Responsible for the physical movement, support, and administrative tasks involved in receiving, shipping, storing, and supporting all material types, with a focus on material replenishment for Manufacturing. This role also involves real-time electronic transactions using Warehouse Management software and implementing lean manufacturing and good housekeeping principles.

Primary Duties:

1. Check incoming deliveries to ensure all materials meet quality standards.
2. Receive, quantify, and store incoming materials using warehouse equipment from various sources.
3. Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when necessary.
4. Document orders, materials, and stock movements, including preparing raw materials for manufacturing.
5. Perform related transactions, bin maintenance, and maintain shelving for stock.
6. Replenish materials daily in a 'Just in Time' manner to support internal customers.
7. Process all deliveries to ensure materials are transacted for departmental activities.
8. Ensure accuracy in logging, labeling, tracking, and entering lot information into Warehouse Management software.
9. Identify and move non-conforming materials.
10. Follow OSHA safety guidelines for warehouses.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Training/Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Entry-level role; experience in inventory, warehouse, shipping, or receiving is preferred.
• Experience in materials handling within the medical device industry is preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
• Understanding of warehouse functions.
• Proficiency in MS Office and internal software.
• Excellent communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in warehouse conditions, standing, climbing, bending, walking, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating material handling equipment. Overtime may be required.
