Job summary

Powell in Houston is seeking a Material Handler to support our manufacturing division by receiving, stocking and recording materials, maintaining inventory records and ensuring timely restocking. You will work in a fast-paced environment, learn company systems, and collaborate with teammates while adhering to safety policies.

Forklift experience is preferred and ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required. We offer comprehensive health insurance, a 401(k) plan, annual bonus potential, paid time off

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate with co-workers.
• Able to learn computer systems and various software programs.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock and record keeping of materials.
• Communicate material needs with staff and management.
• Fill workstations with hardware and material as identified.
• Maintain materials records using a scanner or designated computer program.
• May utilize a forklift to transport, load and unload materials.
• Follow safety and manufacturing policies to ensure quality.
• Identify risks to product quality and follow standard work.
