Job summary

Piping Rock Health Products, located in Aurora, Ohio, is seeking a Bulk Material Handler for 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm. The role involves moving materials to meet production needs while adhering to SOPs and GMP standards.

The ideal candidate will have GMP familiarity, basic English literacy, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a manufacturing environment. We offer medical, dental, vision, 401K with match, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Bi-lingual is a plus
• Prior manufacturing or packaging experience preferred
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Proficient computer skills and strong math skills (addition, subtraction, percentages, averages).
• Physical effort – ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Ability to work in a physically challenging environment, including standing, bending, stooping, twisting, pulling, pushing, and reaching for up to 8 hours
• Work environment may include powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, shellfish)

Responsibilities

• Operates material handling equipment independently as well as within a team environment
• Load and unload the trucks
• Organizes and maintains materials and other components in storage or staging area
• Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
• Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs
• Disposes of cardboard boxes and garbage
• Other duties as assigned
