Job summary

ROCKWOOL International A/S in Chicago, IL is seeking a Material Handler to operate powered industrial trucks, move materials, and prepare products for production. Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM with a pay rate of $20–$22 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Good math, English reading skills and basic computer skills may be required.
• High attention to prevent injury and maintain safety.
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
• Execute assignments accurately, timely and safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• May need to use RF scanner gun.
• Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license may be required.
• Forklift certification per OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Obtain production schedule and transport materials to designated areas and machines.
• Unload raw materials from trucks or rail containers.
• Move goods on pallets or in crates around the factory.
• Stack goods in correct staging areas per inventory instructions.
• Stack empty pallets as required.
• Perform daily equipment checks (e.g., battery watering).
• Dump materials into scrap hoppers.
• Other assigned tasks.
