The Materials Handler will receive and process incoming shipments, goods, and equipment for delivery. Responsibilities include delivering, inventorying, organizing, and restocking inventory sites and patient care areas containing medical and non-medical supplies, linen, and equipment.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide coverage for team members during time off across multiple locations within the First Hill area
  • Maintain optimum inventory of supplies and linen. Review, requisition, and maintain supplies required to meet anticipated needs at various physical locations
  • Distribute supplies according to resupply processes and departmental schedules
  • Pick up and deliver reusable instruments and supplies based on established schedules
  • Maintain accurate record keeping
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and efficient
  • Work as part of the Materials Management team
  • Receive and check daily shipments from carriers
  • Examine, unpack, and match incoming shipments against Purchase Orders
  • Investigate and resolve shipment errors
  • Input and process data in Great Plains and Kwiktag systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • At least 1 year of experience in shipping/receiving

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over 1 year working with patient care supplies and equipment, preferably in a central supply
  • Advanced skills in Word and Excel, including mail merge and database management
  • Experience with warehouse equipment like hand trucks and pallet jacks
  • Understanding of supplies and equipment use and purpose
  • Proven safe driving skills on established routes, following laws and safety practices

The hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $28.85, depending on experience, education, certifications, and other factors. Benefits include a comprehensive package, incentive programs, stock options, and 401k, among others.
