Job summary

Allegheny Health Network within Highmark Health is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to coordinate supply needs and ensure adequate stock across departments. The role supports Receiving, Distribution, Central Service, Linen, Par Stock, Copy Center and Mailroom to maintain smooth operations.

You will maintain inventory levels, use handheld devices for replenishment, and provide friendly, accurate service to internal customers. This position is on site in a health system setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 months related experience preferred.
  • CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inventories and maintains adequate supply levels; orders supplies and uses handheld devices for replenishment.
  • Interacts with internal and external customers; communicates availability and product identification.
  • Orders, receives supplies and stocks/delivers to assigned locations; verifies packing slips and completes documentation.
  • Maintains department statistics; charges departments for stock requests and updates records in Excel.
  • Performs other duties including weekends, evenings, holidays and varying shifts.

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Coordinates supply needs on a routine/scheduled basis to ensure adequate supply levels are available to meet needs.

Provides administrative support for a variety of departments including, but not limited to, Receiving, Distribution, Central Service, Linen, Par Stock, Copy Center and Mailroom.

Provides customer service with integrity, caring and excellence.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inventories and maintains adequate supply levels. Maintains inventory control, ordering supplies. Utilizes hand held devices for inventory replenishment. (40%)
  • Interacts with both internal and external customers and exchanges information regarding availability of supplies, product identification and provides recommendations. (20%)
  • Orders, receives supplies and stocks/delivers to assigned location. Receives supplies into database, verifies packing slips, completes required documentation. (35%)
  • Responsible for maintaining department statistics including but not limited to, charging departments for stock requests, pulling and filling pick tickets, updating work and excel documents as necessary. (5%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required including working weekends, evenings, holidays and shifts as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-3 years’ experience. Preferred Experience in materials management within a healthcare setting. CPR certification.
