1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Materials Handler Assembly for 1st shift to support production lines by assembling trays and lids, feeding tapers, palletizing, and preparing gift orders for expedited processing. The role requires lifting up to 30 lbs, handling pallets, and working in a climate that ranges from -10°F to 40°F.

Responsibilities include reading SKUs, sorting by size, and maintaining accurate counts while adhering to Safe Quality Foods guidelines.

• Build pallets according to storage specifications and ensure pallet patterns meet requirements.
• Ensure QA and vendor compliance specifications are met.
• Physically stack and unstack pallets.
• Support shipping by maintaining a steady flow of product or removal as needed.
• Read SKU numbers and sort product by size/SKU for loading.
• Perform other duties and work in other departments as assigned.
• Adhere to SQF guidelines and maintain good attendance.

Physical Demand and Work Effort:

• Able to perform repetitive tasks (walking, bending, twisting, and using hands, wrists, and arms).
• Perform general housekeeping (break down boxes, remove trash, sweep, etc.).
• Light assembly duties.
• Limited lifting.

• Willingness to cross-train and assist in other departments as needed.

• Build pallets according to storage specifications, ensuring pallet pattern meets all requirements.
• Ensure quality assurance and vendor compliance specifications are met.
• Physically stack and unstack pallets.
• Support the shipping line by maintaining a constant flow of product or removal.
• Read SKU numbers and sort product by size/ SKU of box to prepare for loading.
• Perform other duties and work in other departments as assigned.
• Adhere to all SQF (Safe Quality Foods) guidelines.
• Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance.
