Job summary

Carmeuse in Annville, PA is hiring a Packaging/ forklift operator for the 1st shift. The role involves packing material into 50 lb bags, placing them on pallets, and stocking the warehouse. You will operate forklifts, bobcats and conveyors to move product and load trucks for delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Recent experience in a plant environment with dust, dirt, and all weather conditions.
• Must complete safety, health, and task training.
• Meet employment and position requirements.
• Able to read and use operator manuals and fill out simple pre-shift inspection forms.
• Starting hourly rate: $26.30 per hour.
• Shift: 1st shift.

Responsibilities

• Package material into 50 lb bags and sacks per weight requirements.
• Place packaged material onto pallets by hand and into warehouse.
• Operate forklift, bobcat, and motorized conveyor in daily tasks.
• Load finished product onto customer trucks using forklift.
• Unloads inbound freight using forklift and handles material movement.
• Transport material from storage bins to the packaging line.
• Stencil customer codes on bags or sacks and perform equipment inspections.
• Perform housekeeping duties and wear required PPE.
• Process bill of ladings and perform other supervisor-directed duties.
• Climb stairs to packaging machines and mount/dismount mobile equipment.
