Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Materials Handler to join our Wendell, NC team. You will operate various forklifts, receive and organize inventory, and prepare shipments while maintaining accurate records in SAP.

The role requires at least 2 years of forklift experience and strong English communication skills. This is a contract position with a 40-hour workweek on-site, offering a dynamic warehouse environment and opportunities for growth within a global staffing leader.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down forklifts in high-traffic areas.
• Receive, unload, count, and verify incoming materials; update inventory in SAP.
• Pick and cycle-count materials using RF scanners with high accuracy.
• Pack and load outgoing shipments; ensure proper shipping documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and identify efficiency improvements.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate stand-up reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down forklifts in high-traffic areas and narrow aisles, completing daily equipment inspections.
• Receive, unload, count, and verify incoming materials while accurately updating inventory information in SAP.
• Pick and cycle-count materials using RF scanners, maintaining strong accuracy for both internal and external customers.
• Pack and load outgoing shipments efficiently and securely, ensuring materials are damage-free and all required shipping documentation is provided.
• Follow safety procedures and established processes, use hand and power tools as needed, and identify opportunities to improve daily operations.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in forklift or material-handling experience, including operation of reach trucks, order pickers, or sit-down forklifts.

Additional Information

• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionally
