Job summary

Munters Corporation in Selma, TX is hiring a Materials Handler-1st shift to pull, move, and unload materials using manual methods and forklifts. You will follow QMS pull tickets, manage materials, rotate stock, and support inventory activities while maintaining safety and workplace standards.

The role requires operating various material handling tools, participating in cycle counts, and collaborating with Purchasing to resolve shortages, contributing to on-time production and efficient material

Responsibilities

• Print pull tickets and BOMs to guide picking and delivery.
• Pull parts from inventory manually and with a forklift.
• Install bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent shifting.
• Rotate materials as parts are pulled.
• Sort by department and final location for delivery.
• Move picked items from staging to work areas for next day’s production.
• Move damaged parts to MRB and update records in the system.
• Email Purchasing to start rush orders for shortages.
• Remove trash and recycle bins and operate trash compactor.
• Inspect handling equipment for safety and defects.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as directed.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow safety rules.
• Attend meetings and implement new requirements as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

We pride ourselves on fostering a dynamic and inclusive work environment where interns are valued members of the team and are given meaningful projects to work on. **Job Description:** Perform duties to pull, handle, move, load, and unload materials by hand or using any range of material handling equipment, following established routines and making minor decisions. **Essential Duties:**· Work from computerized Quality Management System (QMS) components including production schedules, bill of materials and pull tickets.· Print pull tickets, bill of materials, and other documents to guide the process of picking and delivering materials to work areas.· Pull parts from inventory manually and using a forklift. Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported. Ensure the proper rotation of materials as parts are pulled. Separate by department, section, and final location and stage for delivery to specific areas.· Select picked items from staging area to move to specific work areas for next day’s production.· Move damaged parts from work area to MRB (Material Review Board) area. Reverse MRB items out of the job and into MRB in computer records, as required due to shortage or DPU. Email purchasing department as required to initiate a rush order on material shortages.· Remove trash and recycle bins from production areas. Operate trash compactor and replace empty bins.· Inspect material handling equipment, structures, or materials to identify problems or defects.· Participate in cycle counting and physical inventory assignments as directed.**Other Duties:**· Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.· Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
