Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for a Materials Handler in Grand Prairie, TX. You will verify loads for delivery and load trucks, while picking warehouse orders and ensuring safety standards are met.

The role requires forklift experience, ability to pull orders from tickets, and 0–2 years in a warehouse. You’ll work in a busy environment with exposure to noise and temperature variations.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to pull orders from picking tickets.
• Must be able to lift and move heavy items (75+ pounds) and work in a warehouse environment with noise and temperature variations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Verifies loads for delivery to ensure customers have the correct product in a safe and professional manner.
• Loads trucks and performs truck inspections.
• Picks warehouse orders.
• Conducts DOT compliance audits.
• Generally has 0-2 years of experience.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Can pull orders off of picking ticket
• Spanish/English would be a good qualification
• Product knowledge of hardware, power tools, basic materials
• Forklift experience required
• 1-2 years of experience pulling orders
• Pick, pull, and stage truck orders while meeting the daily minimum of 50 line items per day
• Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (75+ pounds) or awkward.
• Typically located in a warehouse environment with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
