Job summary

Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Materials Handler to support the Materials Management team. The role involves receiving and distributing supplies, maintaining clinical inventory par levels, and performing courier duties under supervision of the Director of Materials Management.

Responsibilities include picking up and delivering supplies, specimens, and bank deposits, plus handling mail distribution and generating hospital forms as requested.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Valid NC driver's license with no infractions.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Hospital materials management knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory control, Meditech software, and GPOs preferred.

Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Materials Handler to join the Materials Management team!

Description

The selected candidate will perform general clerical duties related to the organization's purchasing program under the supervision of the Director of Materials Management. Will receive and distribute supplies throughout the organization. Maintains appropriate inventory par levels in clinical areas. Performs general courier duties under the supervision of the Director. Pickup and deliver supplies, specimens and bank deposits between departments. Mail will be picked up from Post Office and delivered/distributed to departments. Hospital forms will be generated as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Valid NC driver's license with no infractions
• Basic computer skills are required
• Hospital materials management knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of inventory control, Meditech software, and group purchasing organizations preferred

Hours

This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. May work other hours for the effective operation of the department.
