Job summary

The Material Handler at Eagle Group in Clayton, DE ensures the smooth flow of materials within a warehouse and production setting. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling environment.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely; certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and organization for easy retrieval.
• Pick and prepare materials for shipment or production according to work orders and schedules.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by updating databases and reporting discrepancies or damages.
• Assist with regular inventory counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize material flow and resolve any logistical issues.
