Job summary

Distron Corporation is seeking a Material Planner to ensure the timely flow of materials across departments, supporting production schedules and minimizing downtime. You will monitor inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers, and maintain delivery records to keep operations on track.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree and 2–4 years in manufacturing, strong communication skills, and familiarity with inventory management systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple orders, schedules, and projects simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication for coordinating with suppliers and employees.
• Familiarity with inventory management, supply chain software, and logistics processes.
• Ability to proactively troubleshoot delays, shortages, or supply chain disruptions.
• High degree or equivalent is required; Associate’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• 2-4 years related experience in manufacturing is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels, track incoming orders, and ensure materials are delivered on time to meet production or project schedules
• Review production schedules, assign materials and staff, and expedite materials to prevent delays
• Maintain records of deliveries, generate progress reports, and report on shortages, substitutions, or schedule modifications
• Verify incoming materials against specifications, inspect for damage, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulations
• Act as a liaison between departments such as procurement, production, and warehousing to ensure smooth operations
• All other duties as assigned
