Polaris Inc. in Minnesota invites a Materials Engineering Intern to gain real-world experience in our world-class materials lab.

This 12-week program exposes you to metallurgy, failure analysis, and various lab techniques while contributing to active projects in product development. Based in Wyoming, MN, you will set goals, lead at least one project, and learn to characterize materials with SEM/X-ray, FTIR, TGA and DSC, while developing reports and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Materials or Metallurgical Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Able to complete a full 12-week, 40-hours-per-week internship (May–Aug 2025).
• Familiar with metallurgical lab equipment and materials processing such as heat treatment, forging, metal stampings, and molding processes.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking, communication, leadership, and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Support materials engineering projects in the lab and contribute to new lab capabilities.
• Assist in failure analysis and materials characterization tasks.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to the team.
