Job summary

Xerox is seeking a Materials Engineer II to support xerographic printers and related technologies. You will apply expertise in semiconductor materials, conduct laboratory analyses, and collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable product performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, data interpretation, and working with global vendors to drive material quality and reliability across Xerox products. Minimal travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Materials Engineering.
• 3 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of silicon processing techniques and microelectronics packaging.
• Strong laboratory, analytical, technical problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Experience with ion polishing, particle manipulation, and dimensional or morphological measurement techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze electronic and semiconductor materials to support product development and manufacturing activities.
• Conduct laboratory testing using optical microscopy, SEM, X-ray imaging, chip decapsulation, cross-sectioning, BGA analysis, and related techniques.
• Interpret technical data and provide recommendations regarding materials, product performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with onsite engineering teams across multiple disciplines and partner with global vendors.
• Perform laboratory activities in accordance with chemical hygiene and radiation safety requirements.
