Job summary

S&C Electric Company is offering a Full-Time Fall 2026 Internship in Chicago, IL. The role focuses on supporting Analytical Services through materials testing, data analysis, and failure investigations in the in-house lab at S&C Headquarters.

Qualified students are pursuing a Metallurgical Engineering related degree and will work full-time, reporting to the Assistant Manager of Analytical Services, with compensation in the $22–30 hourly range based on experience.

Qualifications

• En‑rolled in Metallurgical Engineering or closely related program and returning to school full‑time.
• Must be pursuing an accredited degree at a university/college.

Responsibilities

• Support materials testing and analysis in the Analytical lab.
• Assist with failure analysis investigations and root-cause documentation.
• Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation under supervision.
• Compile data and prepare charts, summaries, and technical reports.
