You will own projects from definition through validation, using materials science, chemical engineering, and mechanical principles to select and qualify materials, resolve production problems, and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with composites, coatings, polymers, materials, chemical processing, or manufacturing.
• U.S. Person is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, qualification, implementation, and continuous improvement of composite materials and coating systems.
• Establish material and process requirements based on performance, manufacturability, quality, safety, and objectives.
• Evaluate material systems including composites, polymers, coatings, and adhesives.
• Develop and execute material characterization plans, tests, trials, and qualification programs.
• Analyze technical data to assess performance, process capability, failure modes, and improvements.
• Lead material and process improvement projects from definition through implementation and closure.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to technicians and engineers.
