Job summary

Acuren seeks an Engineer II to join our on-site team in Magnolia, Texas. This position is an intermediate level, requiring two years in Materials Engineering and the ability to work with growing independence.

The role emphasizes rigorous data collection, analysis, and client communication within diverse industrial settings. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelors or Masters in Materials Engineering and PE designation.

Qualifications

• Requires at least two years in Materials Engineering with growing autonomy.
• Demonstrates strong technical knowledge in Materials Engineering and PE designation preferred.
• Experience with lab equipment FTIR, TGA, DSC, SEM is expected.
• Interest or experience in non-metallic materials is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication; customer‑oriented.

Responsibilities

• Collect information from clients, prepare project scopes and plans and deliver cost estimates
• Conduct studies and generate observations and data as required by project plan
• Develop draft reports and work with Technical Experts as needed to finalize for client delivery
• Deliver exceptional professional customer service with various industrial companies, internal and external stakeholders, etc.
• Other work duties as assigned.

An Engineer II is expected to develop advanced skills, and the ability to work with greater independence. An Engineer II effectively applies fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied.

• Full time, permanent position

Responsibilities

• Collect information from clients, prepare project scopes and plans and deliver cost estimates

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in Materials Engineering
• Strong technical knowledge in applicable fieldMaterials Engineering, with aBachelors or Masters degree and Professional Engineer designation
• Experience with lab equipment such as FTIR, TGA, DSC, SEM
• Specific experience or interests in non-metalic materials
• Analytical/investigation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, high energy, customer-focused and a positive, success-oriented attitude

Working Conditions
