Requires a bachelor's degree in Materials, Ceramics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, plus 3–5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should understand failure analysis, metallurgy and degradation of steels, superalloys, and coatings, as well as materials testing and data analysis; manufacturing or laboratory experience and gas turbine coating knowledge are preferred.
