Job summary

East Haven Builders Supply, a Division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is hiring a Delivery Helper to load, transport and unload materials to customers, report shortages, and assist loads in the yard. This entry-level role offers exposure to driver, warehouse and yard functions and room for growth.

Responsibilities include safe operation, accurate order checks, good customer service, and adherence to safety policies. High school or equivalent required; prior delivery or warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with delivery, material handling and/or warehouse required.

Responsibilities

• Operate safely.
• Deliver and unload materials to customer's satisfaction.
• Check orders for accuracy.
• Organize and secure load.
• Obtain approval on all loads from supervisor for proper count and conditions of load.
• Assist in maintaining good housekeeping in yard and warehouse.
• Follow guidelines from supervisor.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Relay messages sent by customers while on job.
• Assist supervisor and other employees as assigned.
• Assist driver in evaluating delivery site and guiding maneuvering to avoid damage.
