Responsibilities

• Utilize quoting software to obtain and review vendor pricing information.
• Understand the project requirements.
• Determine key variables of cost and other estimates as it relates to component information such as price, availability, lead time, life cycle status, excess material and minimum order quantities.
• Obtain and review quotes from suppliers.
• Perform risk analysis.
• Select winning bids and complete material estimates, thereby establishing standards.
• Communicate issues and special condition of pricing.
• Build working relationships with key suppliers.
• Work with Engineering and Buyers to drive accuracy and competitiveness.
