Job summary

Murphy's Naturals, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Materials Coordinator to ensure timely availability, accurate tracking, and smooth movement of materials across production. You will coordinate material flow with procurement, warehouse, and production teams.

The ideal candidate is highly organized with strong attention to detail and experience in manufacturing or CPG environments. This role emphasizes GMP compliance and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in materials coordination, inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain.
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily availability of raw materials and packaging components to support production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or risks to Supply Chain or Procurement.
• Ensure production lines are supplied with correct materials in advance of runs.
• Support production changeovers by ensuring materials are staged and ready.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP or inventory management system.
• Perform cycle counts of raw materials, packaging components, and WIP inventory.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of materials (FIFO/FEFO).
• Coordinate inbound material receipts and verify against purchase orders.
• Track material usage and report variances or inefficiencies.
• Assist with line clearance and material reconciliation after runs.
• Ensure materials are handled and stored per GMP and quality standards.
• Maintain documentation for audits, inventory records, and traceability.
• Assist with internal audits, inventory reconciliations, and mock recalls when required.
• Identify opportunities to improve material flow, inventory accuracy, and warehouse organization.
