Job summary

Mastronardi Produce's Jonestown Distribution Center is seeking a Box Room Shift Lead to assist in safe operation of box machines, manage inventory and support supervisors. Shift pattern: 3 days one week, 4 days next, day shift 6am-5:30pm.

The role emphasizes keeping stock organized, reconciling discrepancies, operating pallet jack and forklift, loading trailers, and ensuring accurate shipments. Strong MS Office skills and prior materials/warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Shipping, receiving and inventory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office: Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with time management and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Ensure boxes are stored on trailers or sent upstairs.
• Monitor packaging to keep the warehouse floor clear.

Day Shift (6am-5:30pm) working an alternating 3 day - 4 day work week

• Week 1 - Sun, Mon, Fri, Sat
• Week 2 - Tue - Thurs

Our Jonestown Distribution Center, a 218,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7, is currently seeking aBox Room Shift Leadto join our team. The essential function of this role is to assist in the safe operation of the box machines while tracking production and scrap and assist supervisors in delegating work assignments and employee supervision.

Primary Function:
The essential function of this position is to assist the Materials Supervisor regarding daily material requirements.
The individual is responsible for a wide variety of duties including but not limited to this job description.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Keep stock organized and readily accessible.
• Reconcile discrepancies in inventories and notify supervisor of irregularities.

• Move inventory to various locations manually by operating pallet jack, hand cart and forklift.
• Load and off load trailers and delivery truck.
• Fill and ship orders, ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation.
• Ensure that boxes are stored on trailers or sent upstairs.
• Monitor packaging on the floor with the goal of keeping the warehouse floor clear.
• Pull and verify all materials required for packing samples (clam, boxes and bags, etc.).

Education/Background Requirements:

• High School Graduate, Post- Secondary education preferred.
• At least two years’ experience in a Materials department required.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Shipping, receiving and inventory experience an asset.
• Be respectful and deal tactfully with customers, other employees and vendors.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office: Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Must have ability to effectively follow-up and handle multiple projects with strong personal timemanagement.
• Proficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Willingness to work independently, with minimal supervision and take ownership of job.
