Viant Medical Inc. is hiring for an entry-level Materials Coordinator to ensure adequate material availability for production, move materials between locations, and operate RF scanning to transact RM, IN, and FG.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical/technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, move materials to support production jobs.
  • Ensure all material movements are transacted in the computer system to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Initiate material lot changes.
  • Check status of material during production and replenish as needed.
  • Verify proper operation of production equipment and initiate maintenance requests.
  • Perform line clearances including cleaning and storing equipment and bays.
  • Move scrap parts to regrind trailer as required.
  • Communicate job status and production issues to the next shift.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Move completed pallets between locations daily.
  • Maintain rear yard area, especially after equipment cleaning.
  • Assist as machine operator when needed.
  • Support machine operators with addressing issues.
  • Perform RMB audits as requested.
  • Perform weekly warehouse maintenance as requested.

The Materials Coordinator is an entry level position primarily responsible for ensures adequate levels of materials exist to avoid production stoppage, moves material, finished goods and components between locations. Has knowledge of the required material handling equipment in order to setup, breakdown, and clean material handling equipment. Use RF scanner to move RM, IN and FG into location.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify, select, and move materials to support production jobs.
  • Ensure all material movements are transacted within computer system to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Initiate material lot change.
  • Check status of material during production and replenish as needed.
  • Verify proper operation of production equipment. Initiate maintenance request for equipment requiring attention.
  • Perform line clearances including, but not limited to, clean and store equipment, clean machine and raw material bays, return material to warehouse.
  • Ensure regrind, runners, and other scrap parts are properly moved to regrind trailer.
  • Communicate job status and production issues with next shift.
  • Follow and support all company and safety policies and procedures.
  • Move complete pallets from PPNC locations to FGB locations daily.
  • Maintain the rear yard area, especially after equipment cleaning.
  • May be called upon to assist as machine operator.
  • Assist Machine Operators 3 and 4 in addressing machine issues.
  • Perform RMB audits as requested by supervisor or manager.
  • Perform weekly warehouse maintenance housekeeping as requested by supervisor or manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing work environment
  • Forklift experience and certification required
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Analytical Trouble Shooting.
  • Ability to read technical drawings/prints.
  • Strong mechanical/technical aptitude.
  • Computer skills as required by stated accountabilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Other: Provide overtime coverage for alternate shifts or weekends as required
