Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Specialist to manage MMIS-driven inventories, replenishment, receiving, and stocking for the Materials Service Center (MSC) in the Seattle area. You will accurately enter data, pick, deliver, and stock products, ensuring accountability for all materials and equipment.

The role supports hospital operations in a patient-focused system with emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and safe material handling; prior healthcare or hospital supply experience

Qualifications

  • 1 year of inventory systems, receiving, warehousing and/or supply distribution using a computerized MMIS in a perpetual inventory system within the previous three years.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical inventories and replenish supply areas.
  • Receive incoming stock and stock non-stock shipments; put away items.
  • Process fax, phone, and electronic order entries; fulfill supply requests in MSC.
  • Deliver stock and non-stock products to appropriate departments.

Description

Utilizes a computerized MMIS (Materials Management Information System) and associated hardware / software, to conduct physical inventories, replenishment of supply areas (such as patient care and ancillary areas), receive incoming stock and non-stock freight and parcel shipments, and put away inventory items. Prepares and coordinates outgoing parcel and freight shipments. This position is also responsible for processing fax, phone, electronic order entry, and walk up supply requests in the MSC. Enters data into the MMIS in order to inventory, pick, deliver, and stock products associated with the aforementioned functions, all with a high level of accuracy to ensure accountability for all products and equipment in the MSC (Materials Service Center). Delivers stock and non-stock products, and packages to the appropriate department / areas.

Required Qualifications:
  • 1 year of inventory systems, receiving, warehousing and/or supply distribution using a computerized MMIS in a perpetual inventory system within the previous three years
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Inventory and supply distribution management courses

  • Experience in a healthcare environment

  • Experience with material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jack, etc)

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
