Job summary

Clayton Manufacturing in Savannah, GA is seeking a Materials Coordinator who will manage materials, vendor relationships, processes and costs across the facility. You will collaborate with Engineering, Production, Service, Sales, and suppliers to meet production goals.

This role reports to the Materials Manager and emphasizes inventory discipline, supplier accountability, and cost control. Strong Excel skills and lean experience are valued as you optimize turns and reduce shortages.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Work and communicate collaboratively with facility leadership, other departments, customers, and suppliers.
  • Facilitate a culture focused on team member experience, customer experience, and leadership.
  • Count and order materials to meet HBF production requirements.
  • Avoid and minimize material shortages.
  • Maintain the lowest inventory levels necessary to meet production needs.
  • Operate within defined supply terms, contracts, and SOPs.
  • Hold suppliers accountable for performance standards and contractual terms.
  • Optimize inventory turns.
  • Support vendor relationships and communications.
  • Support issue resolution and quality processes.
  • Participate in and reconcile quarterly physical inventory counts.

Position Summary

The Material Coordinator is responsible for managing materials, vendor relationships, processes, and costs at the Facility. This requires working collaboratively with Engineering, Production, Service, Sales, and suppliers. The role reports directly to the Materials Manager.
