Job summary

The Shaw Group is seeking a qualified candidate for a materials coordination role in Beaumont, TX. The position involves handling material requisitions, taking-offs from isometrics, and managing inventory for multiple projects.

Responsibilities include supporting AP on billing issues, generating receiving reports, and issuing materials into the system, with emphasis on accuracy and timely workflow within a construction environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate or bachelor's degree or relevant work experience is preferred.
• Read and understand pipe and steel Isometrics descriptions and verify against material lists in the system for accuracy.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

• Read and understand descriptions and specifications in pipe and steel Isometrics and verify against material lists in the system for accuracy.
• Oracle JDE experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach, stand, walk, use fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and to perform repetitive motions.
• Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
