We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. We are currently seeking a Materials Control Truck Driver - Evening Shift based in Houston, Texas, US. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing your Commercial Driver's License and performing safety checks of brakes, steering column, lights, and mirrors prior to each journey to ensure road readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Following and maintaining loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo, and re-checking their stability throughout trips.
  • Inspecting trailers before and after loading, paying attention to the status of air lines and jack positions, and adjusting them as necessary.
  • Adhering to traffic safety regulations at all times and reporting unsafe vehicle or road conditions to your supervisor.
  • Assisting in unloading cargo and maintaining product quality.
  • Receiving goods and verifying items against shipment records.
  • Gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications and transportation method.
  • Recording received and shipped items.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate fluently in English.
  • Work hours: Evening Shift (8 hours): Monday - Friday, 1:00 PM - 8:30 PM.
  • Travel Requirements: 0 - 10% travel.
  • Relocation Assistance: No.
