As a Materials Control Truck Driver - Day Shift located at Houston, Texas, US, you will be responsible for utilizing your Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A and performing safety checks of brakes, steering column, lights and mirrors prior to each leg of your journey to ensure road readiness.In this role, a typical day will include:
- Following and maintaining loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo and re-checking their stability throughout trips.
- Inspecting trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary.
- Adhering to traffic safety regulations at all times, reporting unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisor.
- Assisting in unloading cargo, maintaining product quality.
- Additional Warehouse Shipping & Receiving responsibilities may include receiving goods and verifying items against the shipment record.
- Gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation method
- Recording received and shipped items.
What You'll Bring to Alcon:

- Work hours: Day Shift (8 hours): Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
