Job summary

Alstom in Atlanta is seeking a Material Controller to operate and improve Material Control within the site, ensuring materials are available to meet production needs. You will handle inbound/outbound shipments, cycle counts, and communicate with procurement and quality on discrepancies.

The role requires a High School diploma and forklift experience, with strong English reading/writing and basic IT skills to manage records and inventory details.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic English reading, writing and comprehension required.
• Experience in industrial/warehouse environment preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Physically handles materials and verifies inbound shipments against documentation.
• Loads/unloads materials and stores to designated locations.
• Issues materials to O&M technicians.
• Notifies procurement and quality of damaged or discrepant inbound counts.
• Performs cycle counts and resolves stock discrepancies.
• Maintains records for parts sent/received and ensures minimal stock.
• Prepares outbound shipments and coordinates carrier tracking.
• Escorts vendors/contractors in and out of the facility.
• Maintains knowledge of products and processes daily.
