Job summary

Haag-Streit USA, INC. in Mason, OH, is seeking a Materials Clerk to support production by moving, receiving, labeling, and tracking materials through the ERP system to keep the manufacturing line running smoothly.

You'll join a team focused on safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement, with a 4-day 10-hour schedule and comprehensive benefits starting on day one. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred, especially in regulated environments.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems; accuracy is essential.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and continuous improvement mindset.
• Able to lift and move heavy items safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Move, deliver, and store incoming material and finished goods.
• Receive materials using PO, forms, work orders, and packing slips.
• Identify and label material for storage.
• Use ERP system to dispense and track part numbers, quantities, locations.
• Enter and maintain warehouse inventory records for traceability.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and support Lean initiatives.

SUMMARY:

As a Haag Streit USA Materials Clerk you will be responsible for critical supply chain processes to produce high quality ophthalmic medical equipment. The - Material Handlers ensures the accurate and timely flow and tracking of goods moving our business products to ensure the manufacturing process is able to operate efficiently with no downtime. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Moves, delivers, and stores incoming material and finished goods in Production or Warehouse areas.
• Receives incoming materials using PO, receiving forms, work orders and packing slips.
• Identify and label material for storage.
• Use the computer ERP system to dispense and receive information such as part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc
• Enters, tracks and maintains warehouse inventory through the ERP system.
• Ma intain accurate and legible records to ensure traveler / quality documents to ensure traceable and quality issues can be addressed.
• Monitor inventory levels, flag discrepancies for validating the accuracy of the inventory.
• Returns unused components to inventory upon completion of production runs.
• Work as part of a team having responsibility for maintaining a high level of service throughout the factory.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Use troubleshooting skills/interpersonal skills such as conflict resolution, active participation/listening, interpretation, cooperation and flexibility to allow for a successful team environment.
• Positively represent and support the Company’s policies and procedures.
• Active participant in our Lean Continuous Improvement initiatives in order to enhance production processes to achieve quality, productivity and profitability metrics.
• Work overtime as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Previous manufacturing experience, Prefer 6 months experience in a medical or other regulated production company.
• A bility to operate equipment in a safe and controlled manner, i.e., Forklift, tape machine, pallet jack, stock picker and walkie-stacker.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
• Experience with ERP Software, Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
• High level of attention to detail to ensure product meets quality expectations.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Above average math and organizational skills.
• Able to clearly communicate ideas, problems and solutions to all levels of manufacturing management in both written and oral form.
• Works well with minimum supervision.
• Must have good manual dexterity.
• Able to lift and carry 50 lbs. of weight for extended periods of time. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 25 ft.
• Ability to work overtime
