Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a Purchasing professional in Texas to procure products, manage vendor relationships, and support inventory plan execution. You will analyze pricing, monitor lead times, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality and cost targets.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of purchasing experience, with proficiency in ERP systems and inventory planning tools. Occasional travel may be required.

• Knowledge of material management and procurement function.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Procures assigned products by contacting vendors for price, availability and delivery time.
• Evaluates goods and services by analyzing pricing trends and tracking orders.
• Ensures products are received per request and resolves material issues with vendors.
• Coordinates returns/replacements and maintains vendor records and paperwork.
• Maintains inventory planning data and supports engineering and field ops with sourcing.
