Job summary

Sentara Healthcare Inc. seeks a Materials Associate for the 2nd shift to oversee inventory, orders, receiving, and distribution of materials from the loading dock to hospital units.

You will document processes using electronic and paper systems and may operate materials handling equipment to move goods efficiently. Additional duties may include mail distribution for courier services and coordinating with delivery staff to ensure timely supplies and equipment reach the customer.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience as a materials associate.
• Experience in hospital supply chain and inventory control is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory, supply ordering, receiving and distribution of supplies to units/departments from loading dock area.
• Document supply processes using electronic and paper systems.
• May use materials handling equipment as part of daily duties.
• Assist courier services with mail distribution and delivery route planning to ensure timely supplies and equipment delivery.
• Collaborate with DME delivery staff to ensure availability of supplies or equipment for daily deliveries.

As a Materials Associate with Sentara,

Responsible for inventory, supply ordering, receiving and distribution of supplies to various units/departments from the loading dock area. Document the supply process using various electronic and paper processes. May use materials handling equipment. Performs other duties as assigned

For courier services: May also include receiving and distribution of mail to facilities and assisting in delivery route planning to have supplies and equipment reach the customer as expected.

For DME: Work also with delivery staff to assure correct supply or equipment is available to deliver to the customer for the delivery runs daily. May use materials handling equipment. Performs other duties as assigned
