Job summary

Qnity seeks an Electronic Materials Application Engineer / Scientist to drive adoption of Kapton polyimide film across OEMs, AI/HPC, and data-center applications. You will bridge customers and Qnity, guiding qualification, testing, and launches with deep materials expertise.

In this hybrid, customer-facing role you’ll collaborate with Sales, R&D, and Manufacturing to solve reliability and high-voltage challenges, deliver training, and communicate market needs to shape future product directions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as materials science, chemical, mechanical, electrical engineering, or physics.
• Experience with electronics materials, specialty films, or semiconductor packaging.
• Strong customer-facing technical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical interface between customers and Qnity for Kapton film products.
• Support design-in, qualification, and product launches from concept to commercialization.
• Develop understanding of customer applications, roadmaps, and manufacturing processes.
• Lead troubleshooting for manufacturing, qualification, and field issues.
• Deliver technical presentations and customer training.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, R&D, and Manufacturing to grow business.
