We are seeking a Material Technician (Quality) for our Appleton, Wisconsin, location.
This is a weekend night shift, Friday-Sunday, 5pm-5am. Scheduled to work 36 hours but paid for 40! This position also includes an additional $1/hour shift differential for working the weekend night shift.
As a Material Technician, you will play an integral role in ensuring we are producing high-performance components for the aerospace industry. As a newly hired Material Technician, you will be primarily focused on receiving, unpacking and sorting incoming material, as well as identifying, packaging and shipping finished product to ensure timely delivery to our customers.
As part of our career growth efforts, you will be cross-trained in Quality Assurance where you will use a variety of inspection devices, including calipers, micrometers and automated inspection equipment, to inspect finished machined components and ensure they meet quality, reliability and safety standards of ATI and our customers.
Responsibilities
A successful Material Technician is a problem-solver, safety-focused, understands the importance of precision and quality, and works collaboratively with all cross-functional teams. To become successful, you must have a strong desire to learn, excellent communication skills, be cross-trained, have a high attention to detail, and be able to multitask with multiple simultaneous priorities.
Candidates will be required to take a pre-employment skills test and must pass an eye and color exam prior to employment. Material Technicians are also trained and must pass ATI fork truck operator assessment.
Our Appleton plant is a climate-controlled facility with brand new material handling and inspection equipment that you'll utilize daily.
