Job summary

TI Automotive in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an materials changeover operator for blow molding production. The role centers on changing materials and ensuring smooth press operation.

You will verify, replace and monitor materials at the press, prepare two hours of material for the next shift, and maintain clean press areas and grinders. Forklift experience is preferred and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic Mathematics
• Ability to operate Hilo
• Hold valid driver's license
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
• Experience as a Hilo driver
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Verify, replace, and monitor materials at the press
• Assure that 2 hours' worth of material is available for following shift
• Maintain cleanliness of press beds, material areas, under mold and back side of presses
• Monitoring / cleaning of grinders and hoppers
• General maintenance of loaders, filters, and blender equipment
• Ability to stop machines to perform material change overs on color changes / mold changes
• Ability to purge new material for color changes / mold changes
• Assurance that material changes are complete PRIOR to end of mold / color change
• Take care of scrap at machines
• Perform other duties as assigned
