Job summary

R2C Incorporated at Hill Air Force Base, UT is seeking a Material Support Technician to perform inventory management, material coordination, and cataloguing to support base operations.

This nonexempt, hourly position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, US citizenship, a Secret clearance, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and solid computer skills in a well‑lit shop setting. The role supports base programs and ensures accurate material flow.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing decentralized and decontrolled items (supplies, equipment).
• Assists in inventory requirements determination and forecasting, distribution of materials, procurement authorizations, etc.
• Performs material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.
• Processes and expedites supply transactions related to particular organizations serviced.
• Writes item descriptions, using requirements for a range of new items entering the supply channels.
• Reviews existing stock catalogs, manufacturers catalogs, drawings, or other resource materials, for the purpose of matching characteristics or part numbers to identify duplicate items.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The working conditions will mostly be a well-lit, shop environment.

Physical Requirements

This position must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as well as have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Physical requirements of the position may also include, but are not limited to, bending, twisting, and lifting.
