Job summary

Baxter in Batesville, IN is seeking a Material Support Person to ensure the efficient movement of materials, products and equipment. You will receive, store, transport and distribute inventory while maintaining accuracy, safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Pull products and parts from location and move them to appropriate areas.
• Drive tractor/trailer, van, straight truck, lift truck or other vehicles to pick up and deliver parts, products, scrap, supplies between plants and vendors.
• Load, unload trucks and secure loads to prevent shifting or damage.
• Complete loading documents and follow verbal instructions.
• Perform material handling duties including counting, weighing, sorting, locating, stocking and delivering items.
• Determine location and accurate identification of parts and products.

As a Material Support Person, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials, products, and equipment throughout our operations. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, transporting, and distributing inventory while maintaining accuracy, safety, and quality standards. This position requires operating a variety of vehicles and material handling equipment, loading and unloading shipments, completing required documentation, and ensuring products and parts are delivered to the right place at the right time to support business and manufacturing needs.

Your Team

You will be part of a collaborative warehouse and logistics team dedicated to maintaining the smooth flow of materials across the supply chain. Working closely with production employees, warehouse personnel, transportation teams, vendors, and plant operations, you will help ensure the timely movement of products, parts, supplies, and equipment. Together, the team is committed to safety, operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and delivering outstanding support to internal and external customers.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform all required duties in connection with receiving products and parts into warehouse
• Pull products and parts from location and move them to appropriate areas
• Drive tractor/trailer, van, straight truck, lift truck or other vehicles to pick-up and deliver parts, product, scrap, supplies, dies, equipment etc. between company plants, vendors and other designated destinations.
• Load, unload trucks arranging load for proper space and weight distribution, block and secure load as the need arises to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Complete loading documents, and follow verbal instructions.
• Perform various material handling duties including, but not limited to: counting, weighing, sorting, locating, stocking and delivering parts, materials, fabricated in-process stock, supplies, tools or equipment to required areas.
• Determine location and accurate identification of parts and products.
