Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a detail‑oriented team member to manage materials and inventory within our plant in North Carolina. You will move materials, supply parts for lines, operate handling equipment, and help ensure safe, efficient production flow.

The role includes supporting daily line schedules, training peers, and identifying improvement ideas in the work area to boost quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and verifies inventory and materials being handled.
• Supplies parts for lines and transports materials through the plant.
• Operates material handling equipment across the plant.
• May disassemble, sort, repair, and salvage products.
• Contributes to training of other associates.
• Potentially leads line during supervisor's absence.

Job description

Summary: Stores, issues, and moves a variety of materials and products, as directed by Production Manager, by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintains and verifies actual inventory and materials being handled. Supplies parts for a line(s) and transports materials through the plant as needed. Operates a variety of material handling equipment to move material throughout the plant. May disassemble, sort, repair, and salvage a variety of products. Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced. Assists in training other associates. Flexes into the line as needed. Accuracy of inventory record and quality of work is essential. Responsible for a neat, orderly, and safe work area. May plan and organize the execution of daily line schedule, including leading cell in team leader’s absence. Responsible for identifying and implementing improvement ideas in work area.
