Job summary

Moen in North Carolina is seeking a Material Stocker to store, issue, and move a variety of materials. You will maintain inventory accuracy, supply parts for lines, and transport material throughout the plant using material handling equipment.

Responsibilities include training associates, aligning with daily line schedules, and identifying improvement ideas in the work area. You must be able to lift up to 45 lbs and work 40+ hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work 8+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week.
  • 90-day probationary period applies to all postings.

Job description

Job Description
  • Material Stocker stores, issues, and moves a variety of materials and products, which includes frequent lifting of boxes (3-45 lbs) off pallets (6 inches off floor to chest level) and/or VGV’s.
  • Maintains and verifies actual inventory and materials being handled.
  • Supplies parts for a line(s) and transports material through the plant as needed.
  • Operates a variety of material handling equipment to move material throughout the plant.
  • May disassemble, sort, repair, and salvage a variety of products.
  • Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced.
  • Assists in training other associates.
  • Flexes into the line as needed.
  • Accuracy of Inventory record and Quality of work is essential.
  • Responsible for a neat, orderly, and safe work area.
  • May plan and organize the execution of daily line schedule, including leading cell in team leader’s absence.
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing improvement ideas in work area.
Qualifications
  • Associate must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six (6) months. (Exceptions to the 6-month time limit may be considered if circumstances beyond the control of the associate caused a shift change or demotion or based on business needs. In addition, associates seeking a higher labor grade may apply without waiting 6 months.)
  • Associate must not have been removed from or voluntarily stepped down from the same role in the preceding 6 months.
  • Associate can have no written disciplinary warnings within six (6) months of the posting date.
  • Associate cannot have less than 17 UTO hours.
  • Associate must be able to work 8+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week.
  • Associate must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid.
  • Associates selected will receive the necessary training to perform the requirements of this position, to include processes and computer requirements.
  • A 90-day probationary period applies to all job postings.
  • Associate submits an application through Workday prior to the posting deadline.
Notes
  • An application through Workday/Smart Recruiters must be submitted to HR on/or before the close of the job bid.
  • Interested TEMP associates can bid and will have the opportunity to become permanent based on their performance.
  • Material Stocker bids are not cell specific. Production Managers will assign based on production requirements.
  • Interested TEMP associates can bid but will only be considered if the roles are not filled by current Moen Associates.
