Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Supply Chain, Materials, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in materials, supply chain, production planning, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with lean material flow concepts, PFEP, point of use delivery, replenishment systems, Kanban.
  • Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems to support inventory, materials planning, or production.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills with the ability to identify trends and support data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, and other manufacturing teams.
  • Hands-on experience on a manufacturing floor and supporting continuous improvement projects.
  • Strong problem solving, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support standardization, advancement and implementation of a lean enterprise material flow strategy, including PFEP, replenishment, and WMS.
  • Update critical ERP system parameters to align with the PFEP process.
  • Maintain documentation outside the ERP system to support monitoring and change management.
  • Support measurable improvement in parts shortages due to planning, inventory errors and damage.
  • Analyze data from ERP systems and spreadsheets to support PFEP decisions.
  • Forecast workload based on demand projections.
  • Lead projects to synchronize material consumption with production and optimize material presentation at point of use.

The Materials Associate will support the development, standardization, advancement and implementation of a lean enterprise material flow strategy. This role will utilize analytical skills to identify opportunities and develop solutions that result in optimal material flow at the lowest total landed cost. The Materials Associate will identify opportunities and align efforts cross functionally to maximize the ROI associate with lean material flow initiatives returnable container implementations, logistics route engineering and shortage mitigation.

YOUR IMPACT
  • Support standardization, advancement and implementation of a lean enterprise material flow strategy. Scope includes but not limited to: KPIs, Plan for Every Part (PFEP), replenishment systems, WMS, inventory control, production scheduling and IT support systems.
  • Update critical ERP system parameters to align with the optimal materials strategy in conjunction with PFEP process.
  • Maintain required documentation outside the ERP system as necessary to support ongoing monitoring and change management.
  • Support measurable improvement in parts shortages due to poor production and materials planning, inventory errors and damage within the facilities.
  • Resolve problem utilizing acquired knowledge and analytical abilities.
  • Compile data from ERP systems, spreadsheets and other sources to support decision-making in conjunction with the PFEP process.
  • Forecast workload based on demand projections.
  • Leverage shop-floor lean material flow implementation experience to lead and support projects focused on synchronization of material consumption with production, maximizing efficiency of material conveyance routes and optimal material presentation to point of use.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associates degree within in Supply Chain, Materials, or a related field.
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working in materials, supply chain, production planning, inventory control, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with lean material flow concepts, including PFEP, point of use delivery, replenishment systems, Kanban, or similar processes.
  • Experience working with ERP or warehouse management systems to support inventory, materials planning, or production.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills with the ability to identify trends and support data driven decisions.
  • Experience supporting inventory accuracy, shortage reduction, material availability, or production scheduling.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, and other manufacturing teams.
  • Hands on experience working on a manufacturing floor and supporting continuous improvement projects.
  • Strong problem solving, organization, and communication skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • This role combines office-based administrative duties with physical activity in field or production environments.
  • In the office setting, tasks may require extended computer use, sitting, and attending meetings.
  • Field or floor work may involve walking across various terrains or shop floors, standing, moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing stairs, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.
  • Must be able to shift focus between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks as needed.

Pay Range:

$46,300.00 - $71,300.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
