Job summary

PADNOS is seeking a hands-on recycling associate in Grand Rapids, MI. You will identify scrap by grade and type, operate sorting and processing equipment, and keep the facility clean and safe throughout your shift.

This role may require occasional hi-lo operation, with a schedule from 10:00am to 7:30pm, Monday through Friday and some Saturdays as needed. A stable work history and safety mindset are essential.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, an occasional Saturday
• 10:00am - 7:30pm

Responsibilities

• Identify scrap, including the grade and type of material and any undesirable elements within the material.
• Operate manual processing equipment. Sort/segregate recoverable materials (i.e. metal, paper and plastic) from waste; upgrading whenever possible.
• Maintain cleanliness of the recycling facility and remove any hazards from the area.
• May occasionally assist by operating hi-lo.
