Job summary

Infosys is seeking an Engineering Consultant 2 with a BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and aerospace domain knowledge. You will elicit requirements, contribute to design concepts, and drive iterative design cycles, coordinating with cross-functional teams to refine prototypes and validate engineering solutions.

The role emphasizes technical integration, documentation, and knowledge sharing, with opportunities to influence product-centric value delivery across aerospace programs.

Qualifications

• Domain knowledge in aerospace and aircraft structural design.
• MRB delegation experience from OEM like Boeing.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable specifications for the team.
• Participate in design meetings, create initial design concepts, and support development of design sketches and models using established engineering tools and techniques.
• Participate in iterative engineering design cycles, refine prototypes, and coordinate with teams to implement feedback effectively.
• Develop and refine solution specifications and perform validation activities, including simulations, to ensure that engineering solutions meet design specifications.
• Build and refine prototypes, incorporating testing results and feedback from cross-functional team, to enhance functionality.
• Undertake technical integration efforts, ensure system functionality, identify and resolve interoperability issues.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and assist in organizing knowledge-sharing sessions among team members.

Job Description

In the assigned Job Role of Engineering Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

Required Skill and Experience

Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited University

Domain knowledge : Aerospace

Process : Aircraft Structural Design Engineering

MRB delegation from the OEM (e.g., Boeing)

Preferred Skill and Experience

Experience with Material Review Board in aerospace production environment.

Aerospace or mechanical engineering degree preferred.

Experience with composite materials in design.

Knowledge of CATIA V5 programs

Experience in reading and interpreting aircraft maintenance documents, engineering repair design, and repair substantiation working for an airline, FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Part 145 Repair Station, and/or aircraft OEM Liaison.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
