Job summary

United Launch Alliance is seeking a Material Planner to support procurement planning across programs. You will work with production, logistics, procurement, quality, engineering and finance to align planning activities with business needs and ensure on‑time material delivery.

Required: 2+ years in supply chain, strong MS Office skills, knowledge of MRP and Lean Six Sigma basics. This role offers a collaborative, mission‑driven environment with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in supply chain management.
• Solid understanding of material requirements planning and supply chain processes.
• Ability to organize, lead, and present material in high level meetings.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to support a production schedule.
• Basic understanding and operational skills for Lean Six Sigma.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor the efficient movement of material from requirement to delivery to the end user.
• Manage and action exception messages to maintain schedule adherence.
• Define raw material scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules.
• Performing tasks for incorporating engineering change activities.
• Monitor and reconcile supply chain disruptions that develop throughout the program lifecycle.
• Develop strategies, implement plans, and track progress for cost savings initiatives.
• Create and maintain valid plans for material and capacity planning.
• Validate and convert planned orders to Production Orders or Purchase Requisitions.
• Ensure converted orders are completed on schedule.
• Balances supply and demand, assigns, distributes and tracks tasks.
• Leads and manages projects assigned by leadership to accomplish organizational objectives.
