Job summary

Owens Corning is hiring for a Forklift - Material Puller Production I in Lawrenceville, GA. The role supports loading, staging, and moving doors and materials using a forklift. You will read orders, gather items, and stage for loading on a first-shift schedule with overtime potential.

Qualified candidates will lift up to 50 lbs, read a tape measure, and communicate in English. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with 1–2 years in manufacturing preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32" and use basic measuring tools.
• Must speak, read, and write English with proficiency.
• Preferred 1–2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manually pull materials/doors and inspect, stack, and stage for loading.
• Read orders and gather materials manually or with forklift; stage for loading.
• Maintain organized warehouse areas with correct products only; rotate stock as needed.
• Ensure safe storage and handling to prevent damage; assist others as needed.

Shift: Hiring Immediately!

1st shift: Mon-Fri 5:30AM-2:00PM

Overview

Manually pull materials/doors and properly inspect, stack and stage for loading.

Reads order, gathers ordered materials/doors manually or with forklift, sorts for proper stacking, applies place cards, stages for loading.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining assigned warehouse areas organized, labeled and with only correct product in them. Rotating overstock and inventory as needed
• Aid in monitoring material throughout the plant to insure it is in proper location and help locate product for pullers and other personnel as needed
• Help ensure product is stored and handled in a safe damage free manner
• Other duties as assigned

What you will need

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, excellent dexterity, must work at a fast pace and handle multiple parts, fast pace is physically demanding
• Must have moderate knowledge door types.
• Moderate knowledge is needed in core and skin types, door/customer quality specs, and production tickets.
• Read tape measure to 1/32\" inch. Efficient tool operation

• Ability to speak, read, and write English with proficiency
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memo
• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
• 1-2 years in manufacturing environment, preferred
